ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN
The art of structure; form, function, and vision converge in an act of corporeal worldmaking. To manifest an idea from the mind into the world is a powerful thing. Here visions once imagined are experienced, Conceptions of the mind transformed into structures of body where they can be can be walked through, lived in, and loved.

THE PARADIGM
A submission to the MOA 2025 national design competition.
Submissions should address the challenge of designing an architectural walk-in structure(s), sculptural form, or landscape installation utilizing one or more of the five platonic solids found in sacred geometry (Dodecahedron, Icosahedron, Octahedron, Hexahedron, Tetrahedron) as the root structure of their design. The design should utilize architecture, landscape architecture, and/or sculpture/art installation as a solution while considering environmental impact and sustainability in use of materials

THE JAPANTOWN CENTER
This project was a highly rewarding opportunity to engage in a community centered design project alongside the Japantown community in downtown Salt Lake City, UT. As senior architectural students we were asked to develop and present the community with architectural solutions that react to the expected redevelopment happening in the surrounding area as a result of the new Salt Lake City Hockey Team in order to preserve the vitality of Japantown.

SOUTH PLATTE RIVER TRAIL
IMMERSIVE RENDERINGS
At a civil engineering transportation infrastructure group, I was given the opportunity to use my architectural rendering experience to create an immersive VR accessible environment that illustrated the improvements to the CDOT commissioned South Platte River Trail project’s proposed conditions. VR becomes more than a tool, it becomes a shared threshold between the imagined and the real. It invites everyone into the creative process, dissolving the distance between concept and lived experience.

RESIDENTIAL ADDITION
Time for an update! As a family project, this residential addition for my grandparents' home solved a number of rising concerns; A 1st floor bathroom was necessary for anticipated healthcare purposes, as well as an updated kitchen because Mamaw loves to cook. The primary addition had not been built to code and the floor needed to be raised to be cohesive throughout the first floor. A vault ceiling was to be added over the new living room, bathroom, and flex space. Together we collaborated with a structural engineer and licensed architect to finalize plans and acquire the designated permitting.
Part of my role involved translating the structural engineering blueprints into a comprehensive 3D model of the framing network. This made it easier to visualize a materials list and accurately order lumber, cabinetry, appliances, windows, and doors for construction. Additionally the construction crew consisted of cousins and siblings who are not trained to read construction documents. I was tasked with creating documents that could explain how the walls should be framed according to code in the most simplified way possible.

ARCHITECTURAL MODELING
Models Models Models!!! The bain of your existence while you're building them, but your most prized possession once you're finished. Each and every year I might count hundreds of hours spent on architectural modeling. Although we might show off the pretty and polished final model, what you won't see are the dozens of massing models, special exploration models, concept models, site models, primary iterations, and all the quick and scrappy models. Don't worry, Ill show you...
